Trump threatens Iran with powerful strikes: US says time is running out for deal

US President Donald Trump has again spoken harshly about Iran and warned Tehran of possible serious consequences if talks fail.

He said this in an interview with Axios.

According to Trump, Washington still hopes to reach a new deal with Iran, but expects more favorable offers from Tehran.

"We want to make a deal. They are not where we want them to be. They have to get there, otherwise they will be hit hard, and they don't want that," the American President said.

At the same time, Trump did not specify specific deadlines for the start or end of the negotiation process, but made it clear that time for agreements is getting shorter.

"Time is running out. They better act quickly, otherwise they will have nothing left," he said.

The head of the White House also threatened Iran with new strikes if the country does not agree to the US conditions.

"The US will strike Iran much harder than before if it does not offer more favorable conditions," Trump stressed.

The American President added that, in his opinion, Iran is still interested in concluding agreements with the United States.

Recall that the US may launch a ground operation to seize Iranian enriched uranium in the coming days.
