Mykola Tyshchenko, a member of the “Restoration of Ukraine” parliamentary group and deputy chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport and Infrastructure, has no intention of participating in the fundraising campaign to secure bail for the former head of the President’s Office, his godfather Andrii Yermak.

The MP shared this with his colleague from the “European Solidarity” faction, Oleksii Honcharenko.

Tyschenko noted that he does not have the necessary funds to contribute to the total fundraising goal of UAH 140 million.

However, he did not rule out transferring his monthly salary, which amounts to UAH 50,000 hryvnias, toward Andrii Yermak’s bail in the future.

“But I’ll have to receive it first,” the MP noted, explaining that lawmakers have not yet been paid their salaries.

Mykola Tyshchenko also noted that another godfather, soccer player and coach Serhiy Rebrov, contributed UAH 30 million toward the bail. The Ukrainian News agency also reported on this.

“He’s a well-known person; he can afford it,” he explained.
