The Cabinet of Ministers has lifted border crossing restrictions for all women without exception. Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced this on Facebook on Friday, May 15.

"The government is lifting restrictions on border crossings for all women without exception, regardless of their positions in government agencies, local government, state-owned enterprises, and courts," Svyrydenko wrote.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 7, the Cabinet of Ministers lifted restrictions on traveling abroad for a specific category of female officials.

As a reminder, in August 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers allowed female members of local councils to cross the state border during martial law, provided they do not work in local government bodies. If they work in local government bodies and, accordingly, receive a salary from the local budget, then traveling abroad was possible only as part of an official business trip.

In February 2023, the government expanded the categories of female and male civil servants who are permitted to travel abroad to visit their children.
