President Zelenskyy tells about details of conversation with European Council President Costa

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about a telephone conversation with the President of the European Council António Costa on the occasion of Europe Day.

The Head of State said this in his post on the social network X.

Zelenskyy noted that Costa congratulated Ukraine on Europe Day, and he, for his part, thanked for the support provided to Ukraine by the European Union.

"We discussed with António our joint work for the further European integration of Ukraine: Ukraine will be a full-fledged part of the European Union. We are preparing to open clusters and further decisions," the President noted.

The topic of conversation also included the latest developments in the negotiations to end the russian-Ukrainian war and the agreement with the russian federation, mediated by the United States, on the exchange of prisoners.

"We will defend our independence and the right of our people to choose their own path. This is how we will also defend the right of all European peoples to live as they want. Russia will not succeed in breaking Europe and splitting it: there have been many attempts, but none of them have worked. And it will not work," Zelenskyy added.
