245 combat clashes take place at front during day, the hottest was in Pokrovsk Axis

On May 8, 245 combat clashes took place at the front, the enemy attacked the most in the Pokrovsk (37 clashes) and Huliaipole (22) and Kostiantynivka (21) Axes.

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Over the past day, on May 8, the enemy carried out one missile strike using one missile and 23 air strikes, dropping 87 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy used 8,189 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,936 shelling on settlements and positions of our troops, in particular, 10 - from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

On May 8, 245 combat clashes with the russian occupiers were recorded at the front.

Thus, in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk Axes over the past day, ten clashes occurred, the enemy carried out 108 shelling on positions of troops and settlements, in particular, 23 - using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South-Slobozhansk Axis, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 15 times in the areas of the settlements of Prylipka, Vovchansk, Lyman, Starytsia and towards Izbitske, Chaykivka, Ternove.

In the Kupyansk Axis, the enemy carried out one attack towards Radkivka.

In the Lyman Axis, 8 attacks towards the settlements of Drobysheve, Zarichne, Stavky, Yampil and Lyman were repelled.

In the Slovyansk Axis, the Defense Forces successfully repelled two attempts by the invaders to advance towards the settlements of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kalenyky.

In the Kramatorsk Axis, the enemy carried out one attack towards Tykhonivka.

In the Kostiantynivka Axis, the enemy carried out 21 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Novopavlivka, Toretske and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk Axis, the defenders stopped 37 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Novooleksandrivka, Bilytske, Muravka, Zatyshok, Ivanivka, Dorozhne, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne and in the direction of Serhiivka, Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka Axis, the enemy attacked three times, in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandrohrad and Vorone.

In the Huliaipole Axis, the invaders carried out 22 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Dobropillia, Zlahoda, Zaliznychne, Bahate, Olenokostiantynivka and in the direction of Nove Zaporizhzhia, Vozdvyzhivka, Staroukrainka and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv Axis, the enemy carried out one offensive operation in the Shcherbaky area.

In the Prydniprovsk Axis, the enemy carried out three attacks in the direction of Antonivka.

Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 10 areas of concentration of enemy manpower, one command post, two guns and one enemy logistics depot.

In total, the losses of the russian invaders over the past day amounted to 1,080 people.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 7, 208 combat clashes took place at the front, the enemy attacked most of all in the Pokrovsk (33 clashes) and Huliaipole (23) Axes.
