President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with soldiers from the 31st Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General-Khorunzhyi Leonid Stupnytskyi, which is holding the line on the Oleksandrivka axis. It was reported on the head of state’s Facebook page on Friday, May 8.

Zelenskyy noted that Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi briefed him on the situation at the front. According to him, the aggressor country, russia, has not reduced the intensity of its assaults despite the declared ceasefire.

"There was also a detailed report from the brigade commander regarding the operational situation in the 31st Mechanized Brigade’s defense sector. We discussed current issues with battalion and company commanders: the specifics of foreign nationals serving in the brigade, the development of the National Reserve Corps, and support for innovation initiatives," Zelenskyy said.
