The Ukrainian analytical project DeepState claims that the russian occupation forces have made gains near the administrative border between the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk Regions.

DeepState analysts reported this on their Telegram channel on Thursday, May 7.

According to OSINT analysts, the occupiers’ advance has been recorded on the Oleksandrivka axis. The enemy has advanced near the village of Orikhove in the Donetsk Region and has also taken a number of positions in the area of Filiia of the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

At the time of publication, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had neither confirmed nor denied DeepState’s information regarding the occupiers’ advance.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 4, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, stated that in April, the russian federation’s army suffered nearly 34,000 casualties and irreplaceable losses. For the fifth month in a row, the occupiers have been losing more people than they are recruiting contract soldiers.

As a reminder, on April 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated, based on a report by Oleh Ivashchenko, the head of the Defense Intelligence, that the russians’ irrecoverable losses had reached 60% of their total strength.
