The death toll from the russian attack on a kindergarten in Sumy on May 6 has risen to two—both women who worked at the facility. Seven more people were injured.

Oleh Hryhorov, the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, has reported this.

"Unfortunately, two employees of the educational institution in Sumy were killed as a result of the Russian strike on the building. They were women aged 48 and 45. Our sincere condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the victims," the statement reads.

It is known that one of the victims was a security guard at the kindergarten.

Another 7 people were injured in the russian attack and received the necessary medical care. A 52-year-old woman who sustained more serious injuries remains in the hospital.

It is reported that during this morning’s attack, approximately 10 enemy UAVs were detected. The Defense Forces managed to destroy some of the drones, but two struck the kindergarten building.

As a reminder, in the Velyka Pysarivka community of the Sumy Region, a 69-year-old man was injured by an enemy mine. He stumbled upon it near his yard. It is likely that the russians dropped the mine from a drone.
