In March, volume of bank loans to economy up 2.4% to UAH 1,262 billion
According to the National Bank's operational data, the volume of loans issued by commercial banks to the corporate sector and individuals increased by 2.4% to UAH 1,262.530 billion in March.
This is stated in a message from the National Bank, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Since the beginning of the year, the volume of loans to the economy has increased by 5.4% from UAH 1,197.680 billion.
The volume of hryvnia loans to legal entities for the reporting month increased by 2.7% to UAH 587.433 billion.
The volume of loans issued to businesses in foreign currency increased by 0.7% to UAH 300.329 billion.
The volume of loans issued to the population increased by 3.4% to UAH 367.876 billion during the reporting period.
Interest rates in March on hryvnia loans for businesses decreased by 0.3 pp to 14.8%, for the population - increased by 0.1 pp to 36.6%.
Rates for foreign currency loans for businesses amounted to 5.9%.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2025, the volume of loans in the economy as a whole increased by 8.2% from UAH 1,106.8 billion.
In 2024, the volume of loans in the economy increased by 10.9% from UAH 997.877 billion.
In 2023, the volume of loans in the economy decreased by 1% from UAH 1,007.648 billion.
In 2022, the volume of loans in the economy decreased by 3.5% from UAH 1,044.049 billion.
In 2021, the volume of loans in the economy increased by 10% from UAH 948.386 billion to UAH 1,044.049 billion.
