Drones attack Syzran: explosions occur near oil refinery, residential building partially collapses

In the russian city of Syzran on the night of April 22, explosions were heard during a drone attack. A series of powerful detonations were recorded near the local oil refinery

According to eyewitnesses, more than ten explosions were heard over the city at about three in the morning, and bright flashes were observed in the sky. Local residents also recorded drones flying over residential areas.

According to the geolocation of the video, the events took place near the Syzran oil refinery, which is located several kilometers from the site of the explosions.

Earlier in the region, the threat of a drone attack was announced and the "Carpet" plan was introduced. Because of this, the Kurumoch airport was temporarily closed.

According to local authorities, due to the incident, the entrance of a residential building partially collapsed.

"Four people, including one child, were rescued from the rubble," rescuers said.

At the same time, OSINT analysts suggest that the destruction could have been caused by russian air defense.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of April 18-19, Ukrainian drones attacked two large russian landing ships in the bay of occupied Sevastopol.

Also, on the night of April 19, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a strike at the Atlant-Aero enterprise in Taganrog, Rostov Oblast of the russian federation. It is the site where russians produce Orion and Molniya drones, which are actively used in the war against Ukraine.
