Magyar warned Zelenskyy against blackmailing Hungary and the EU with the Druzhba oil pipeline
The leader of the Hungarian party "Tisza" Peter Magyar, who won the parliamentary elections in Hungary, appealed to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to open the Druzhba oil pipeline, because "this is not a game." His words were quoted by the Telex publication on Monday, April 20.
Magyar stressed that he does not know the Ukrainian President and has not yet had the opportunity to meet him. He said he sent a message to Zelenskyy regarding the Druzhba oil pipeline, saying "this is not a game" and urged to resume its operations.
"Magyar said that he does not know the Ukrainian President, they have not yet communicated, but neither Hungary nor the EU will agree if he wants to blackmail: "It's like an invitation to dinner, I accept it, and then I start blackmailing him, that if it is not lecho, then I will do this and that," the publication quotes Magyar.
He called on Zelenskyy to open Druzhba if it is possible to do so.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 13, the leader of the Hungarian party "Tisza" Peter Magyar, who won the parliamentary elections in Hungary, spoke out against the use of an accelerated procedure for Ukraine to join the European Union.
On April 13, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico congratulated Peter Magyar on his victory in the Hungarian parliamentary elections, emphasized the joint approach of the countries to "protect energy interests" and mentioned the Druzhba oil pipeline.
On April 17, Magyar stated that supplies of russian oil to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline could resume next week.
