Ukrainian negotiating team leaves for meeting in US - Zelenskyy

The political part of the Ukrainian negotiating team is on its way to the US, where meetings are scheduled for March 21 to end the war against Ukraine. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his Telegram channel on Thursday, March 19.

Zelenskyy noted that he discussed the negotiation process with Kyrylo Budanov, Rustem Umerov, and Davyd Arakhamia. According to him, it is time to end the negotiation pause to achieve peace in Ukraine.

"And we are doing everything to ensure that the negotiations are truly meaningful. The Ukrainian team - namely the political part of the negotiating team - is already on its way, and we expect a meeting in the United States of America this Saturday," the head of state emphasized.

Tomorrow, Umerov will give a report on security agreements with the Persian Gulf countries, Zelenskyy said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 19, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the US had signaled a possible resumption of the trilateral negotiation process on peace in Ukraine.
