BYD Sea Lion 06 becomes leader among new passenger cars imported from China in February - UkrAutoprom

In February 2026, Ukrainians purchased 48% fewer passenger cars imported from China, namely 466 units. compared to February 2025.

This is said in a statement by the UkrAutoprom association, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Of this number: new - 386 units (-44%), and pre-owned - 80 units (-62%).

It is noted that the vast majority of cars from China were electric cars - 38%, in February 2025 it was 83%.

Gasoline cars - 29%; hybrid - 28% and diesel - 5%.

The most popular models of new cars are of Chinese origin: BYD Sea Lion 06 - 21 units; MG ZS - 19 units; Chery Tiggo 4 - 18 units; Jetour X50 - 17 units and BYD Qin - 16 units.

The most popular models of pre-owned cars from China: Buick Envision - 13 units; Volvo S90 - 7 units; Audi Q4 - 7 units; BYD Song L - 6 units and Song Plus - 5 units.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in January 2026, Ukrainians bought 71% more cars imported from China, namely 1,400 units, compared to January 2025.

In 2025, Ukrainians purchased 2 times more passenger cars imported from China, namely 29,300 units, compared to 2024.
