Ukraine receives 11 requests from countries for assistance in shooting down Iranian Shaheds - Zelenskyy
Ukraine has received 11 requests from countries bordering Iran, as well as from the United States and Europe, for assistance in shooting down Iranian drones. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Monday, March 9, following the results of the meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has long offered its partners cooperation in countering drones and missiles. According to him, they also discussed the destruction of the relevant weapons production facilities of the aggressor regimes, since every point of production of the Shaheds is known.
"As of now, there are 11 requests from Iran's neighbors, European countries and America. There is a clear interest in the Ukrainian experience of protecting life, appropriate interceptors, electronic warfare systems, and training. Ukraine is ready to respond positively to the requests of those who help us to protect the lives of Ukrainians and Ukraine's independence," the Head of State emphasized.
Ukraine has already responded to some of the requests with concrete support, Zelenskyy emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 5, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed, that Ukraine had received a request from the United States for support in protecting against Shahed drones in the Middle East.
On March 5, Zelenskyy said, that Ukraine is ready to transfer its interceptor drones to its partners in the Middle East to combat Iranian Shahed in exchange for missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
On March 9, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had sent interceptor drones and a team of specialists to protect American military bases in Jordan.
