White House names key objectives of operation against Iran

The White House has announced the official goals of the US military operation against Iran called "Epic Fury". This was reported by the press secretary of the presidential administration, Karoline Leavitt.

According to her, on February 28, President Donald Trump addressed the Americans and outlined the clear objectives of the campaign.

Among the main goals are the destruction of Iran's missile industry, the elimination of the regime's naval forces, the disruption of terrorist proxies and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and ensuring that Iran cannot obtain nuclear weapons.

"Preventing threats from this radical regime and its terrorist leaders… is a clear and necessary goal. Destroying terrorists is beneficial to America. 49 senior leaders of the Iranian regime, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, have already been wiped off the face of the earth," Leavitt said.

She also stressed that the previous US operation "Northern Hammer" destroyed key Iranian nuclear facilities, but, according to her, the regime was determined to resume the program and refused to negotiate.

Recall that the US is preparing a new wave of strikes on Iran in the coming days.
