The development of a comprehensive plan to address mobilization and cases of combat-related illnesses is underway, with one of the key elements being the expansion of foreign participation. Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said this at a joint briefing with Dutch Defense Minister Dilan Yesilgoz-Zegerius, RBC-Ukraine reports.

According to the official, the proposed plan has already been developed and passed "crash tests" during detailed discussions with commanders at the front and military experts. Fedorov emphasized that the strategy envisages significant involvement of foreign volunteers in combat missions.

"Our comprehensive plan for solving the problems with the unauthorized abandonment of military units and mobilization includes certain solutions on how to make sure that there are more foreigners in Ukraine."

The Defense Minister noted that over the four years of full-scale war, many complex issues have accumulated that now require a balanced approach, so concrete steps will be publicly implemented in the near future.

"In the coming months, you will see how step by step we will start making concrete decisions. We have already begun to make many decisions that relate to other issues... but at the same time, my personal focus is on this issue," he summarized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 14, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Mykhailo Fedorov as Minister of Defense. On the same day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he expects Fedorov to propose systemic solutions to the problems that have accumulated around the work of territorial recruitment and social support centers.
