Ukraine has developed several realistic options for resolving the dispute over oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline and is waiting for a constructive response from Budapest. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has stated this in a commentary for Politico.

Hungary continues to block a EUR 90 billion EU loan to Ukraine. Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has bluntly stated that the veto will not be lifted until Kyiv resumes transit of russian oil.

Andrii Sybiha emphasized that Kyiv not only offers technical solutions, but has also repeatedly initiated direct talks between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Viktor Orbán. However, Budapest ignores these proposals, choosing the language of ultimatums.

"We offer real solutions and demand that Budapest stop dragging Ukraine into its internal politics," Sybiha said.
