European Commission illuminates institutions in colors of Ukraine on anniversary of invasion

On the fourth anniversary of the full-scale war, European institutions shone blue and yellow in solidarity with Ukraine. The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has announced this.

On X, she wrote: "Tonight, we adorn our European institutions with the colours of Ukraine. Two colours, carrying the spirit of courage.
Two colours, burning with resistance. Four years into Russia’s full-scale war, these colours are shining brighter than ever Slava Ukraini."

The EU institutions recalled that blue and yellow lighting has become a tradition on commemorative dates - the anniversary of the invasion, Ukraine's Independence Day and during key decisions on European integration.

We would like to remind you that the country that they wanted to destroy in a week has been at war for 1400 days: today is the fourth anniversary of the russian attack on Ukraine.
