President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on partners to impose sanctions against russian nuclear energy and used a swear word for russian elites in Europe.

He stated this in an interview with Politico.

Zelenskyy noted that European countries have not yet imposed restrictions on the russian nuclear industry, including Rosatom, as well as on the russian elite and their relatives.

"The Europeans have not yet imposed sanctions against the Russian nuclear industry, against Rosatom, against Russians, their relatives, their children who live in Europe, who live in the United States, who study at European universities, who own real estate in the United States. They have a lot of real estate there, children, relatives everywhere. F**k off to Russia. Go home," the President said emotionally.

During the Munich Security Conference, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that there is no certainty that russia is ready to truly end the war. He also noted that it is not yet clear whether it will be possible to find conditions that would be acceptable to Ukraine and at the same time satisfy moscow. That is why the United States imposed new sanctions against russian oil.

In August 2025, Zelenskyy signed decrees introducing new personal and sectoral sanctions against 35 individuals and legal entities associated with the state corporation Rosatom and russian energy companies.
