NABU plans to ask Israel to extradite Mindich and other defendants in Midas case
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) plans to ask Israel to extradite businessman Timur Mindich and other defendants in the Midas case to Ukraine.
NABU Director Semen Kryvonos said this at a press conference, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The process is ongoing. An extradition request for the defendants will be sent in this criminal proceeding. When it is ready, we will send it to Israel," he said.
According to him, the investigation is ongoing. Kryvonos also noted that a large amount of money that was deposited as bail for one of the suspects was blocked in this case.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, NABU will launch an investigation against the defendants in the Mindich case for persecuting well-known journalists. The court decisions in the case of businessman Timur Mindich were classified. The High Anti-Corruption Court allowed an in absentia investigation against Timur Mindich. The court imposed a preventive measure on Mindich - custody.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) believes that former Defense Minister Rustem Umerov helped businessman Timur Mindich receive significant amounts of money.
As a reminder, on November 10, NABU detectives came with searches to the houses of a businessman, co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio Timur Mindich, Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko and Energoatom.
