Ukrzaliznytsia restricts train traffic in four regions. How trains run
Due to the security situation, Ukrzaliznytsia has been forced to restrict train traffic in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia Regions. It was reported by the company's press service.
In particular, in the Sumy Region, the changes affected regional flights to Konotop and suburban connections with the Krolevets station, and in the Chernihiv Region, trains between Snovsk and Bakhmach were temporarily suspended.
In the Kharkiv Region, the Lozova-Barvinkove-Kramatorsk section remains a high-risk area, so transportation there is provided by bus detours.
In the Zaporizhzhia Region, the company is constantly monitoring the situation, which may lead to both the prompt passage of trains and the use of bus transfers, depending on the level of threat.
Passengers are strongly advised to follow official announcements and strictly follow the instructions of train crews and station staff.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the aggressor state of russia struck at the railway infrastructure of the Chernihiv and Sumy Regions. A number of damages were recorded, and one railroad worker was injured.
On the night of February 5, russians massively attacked the railway infrastructure of the Sumy Region, including the railway's power system. The station attendant was injured.
