Former US Special Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg is convinced that russia cannot win the war against Ukraine. He stated this at a panel discussion at Ukraine House Davos organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

He noted that the coming months will be crucial for changing the initiative at the front and despite the difficult humanitarian and energy situation, it is the resilience during the winter that will determine the further course of events.

"I understand that this is a difficult winter. I understand what is happening in Kyiv, I know about the temperatures. But I sincerely believe that if Ukraine survives this winter - January, February - and we enter March and April, the advantage will be on your side, on the side of Ukraine, not Russia," he emphasized.

The former Special Envoy noted that vladimir putin is already aware of the impossibility of a military victory due to the enormous losses, but he is in a psychological trap.

"He is looking for a way to 'get out of this situation with dignity, because he realizes that he will not win this war,'" Kellogg explained.

The problem, according to the American expert, is the kremlin's inability to recognize its own defeat. According to Kellogg, the russian leader has psychologically reached the point where he cannot stop the aggression, "because if he lets go, he will admit that it was a defeat, that everything he did was a failure."

Recall that earlier Kellogg said that Lukashenko gives the US advice on the war in Ukraine.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy called him "the best air defense" and said he was ready to grant General Kellogg citizenship, an apartment and everything else he needs if it will encourage russia to cease fire.
