Umerov meets with Witkoff and Kushner in Davos

In Davos, the Ukrainian delegation met with US Presidential Special Envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov reported this on Telegram.

"We had a separate meeting with our American partners, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff," Umerov elaborated. The main topics of the conversation were the issues of economic development of Ukraine, the strategy of recovery after the end of hostilities, as well as the formation of reliable security guarantees.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian side emphasized the need for support in connection with the constant terror on the part of the russian federation.

"We informed our partners about the latest Russian shelling of civilian infrastructure, in particular the situation in Kyiv, where millions of people were left without electricity and heat," the NSDC Secretary said.

In addition to talks with US representatives, the Ukrainian delegation paid attention to attracting large capital to rebuild the country. In particular, a meeting was held with representatives of one of the largest American investment companies, BlackRock. David Arakhamia and Oleksandr Kamyshyn also took part in this discussion.

Completing the diplomatic agenda in Davos, Rustem Umerov held separate meetings with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahmen Al Thani to strengthen the international coalition.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, US President Donald Trump plans to meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Davos on Thursday, January 22.
