Since beginning of day, 62 combat clashes took place on russian-Ukrainian front - Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff summary
Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the russian invaders' offensive. At the moment, the total number of combat clashes is 62.
This is stated in the text of the operational update from the Command of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, posted on the official Facebook page of the department.
"Today, the communities of Kliusy, Pliokhiv, Huta Studenetska in the Chernihiv Region; Iskryskivshchyna, Budky in the Sumy Region suffered from enemy artillery and mortar fire. Rohizne was hit by an enemy air strike," the statement said.
On the North-Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, the enemy launched two air strikes since the beginning of the day, dropping eight guided aerial bombs, and fired 42 times, including two times from multiple launch rocket systems.
On the South-Slobozhanshchyna axis, the Defense Forces repelled five enemy attacks, four firefights are still ongoing, the enemy is trying to advance in the area of Vovchanski Khutory and towards Kruhle and Chuhunivka.
On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy tried to push our units from their positions towards Petropavlivka four times. One battle is ongoing.
On the Lyman axis, the invading army made six attacks on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Myrne, Zarichne and towards Novoserhiivka, Stavky, Drobysheve and Lyman. Two firefights are ongoing.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions on the Sloviansk and Kramatorsk axes.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, the enemy attacked seven times near the localities of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchyivka and in the direction of Ivanopillia, Illinivka and Sofiivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis, since the beginning of the day, russian occupants have made 22 attempts to push our troops from their positions near the settlements of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Sukhetske, Rivne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and towards Novopavlivka and Filiia. Ukrainian defense forces are holding back the attack and have already repelled 19 attacks.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled two assault attacks by the enemy. The enemy is trying to advance in the areas of Vyshneve and Zlahoda. Another firefight is ongoing. Dibrova came under an air strike.
On the Huliaipole axis, 15 firefights took place in the areas of Solodke, Huliaipole and in the direction of Varvarivka and Zelene. Five of them are ongoing. Once again, Rizdvianka and Zaliznychne came under enemy air strikes.
No enemy offensives were registered on the Orikhiv and Dnieper axes at the moment.
According to the Ukrainian News agency, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 115 attack UAVs last night.
