In Kyiv, power supply restored to all houses, but more than hundred remain without heating - Kyiv City State Administration
As of the morning of January 16, the situation with power supply in the capital has stabilized, thanks to which there are currently no residential buildings in Kyiv that would be left without a constant supply of electricity. This was reported by the press secretary of the Kyiv City Military Administration Kateryna Pop on the air of the telethon.
At the same time, the issue of heat supply remains not fully resolved, as about 127 houses are still without heating.
"As of yesterday, there were 287 houses without centralized power supply. As of now, this is about 127 houses, not including those where heating is not supplied due to emergency shutdowns," added the press secretary of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
At the same time, she added that the most difficult situation remains in the Holosiivskyi and Desnianskyi districts, in other parts of the city - only point failures.
"Regarding transport, there are problems due to voltage drops and the fact that we do not have a full-fledged electricity supply in the city. Such forced steps are being taken, which is why electric transport consumes quite a lot of energy," Pop added.
The press secretary also noted that the number of ground-based duplicate bus routes will likely be increased in the near future. Initially, they were launched to determine demand, and over time, the number of vehicles on the routes will increase.
Emergency and utility services continue to work to eliminate technical problems in order to restore heat to the homes of Kyiv residents as soon as possible, where the networks are still not functioning normally.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine's energy system has found itself in extremely difficult conditions due to intensive russian shelling and the most severe winter in the last 20 years. In connection with the emergency situation in the energy sector, the government is introducing a set of emergency measures to stabilize the situation and protect the population.
On the eve, the director general of the energy company Yasno, Serhii Kovalenko, urged Kyiv residents not to wait for an improvement in the electricity situation and to hope only for the establishment of warm weather.
Last Tuesday, January 13, the Ministry of Energy refused to give a forecast when the Kyiv Region would be able to return to scheduled power outages.
