India continues to buy russian oil. Tankers with more than 2 million barrels of Urals crude are heading to India's largest refinery.

Bloomberg portal reports about this.

At least three tankers with russian oil (about 2.2 million barrels of Urals) have indicated the Indian oil refinery Jamnagar, owned by Reliance Industries, as their destination.

The vessels are expected to deliver their cargoes in the coming days. The russian oil will be refined into fuel for domestic use, not for export.

Despite the fact that the company officially denies purchases for January, experts have noted a return of Reliance's interest in russian oil for domestic consumption.

The company had previously reduced purchases due to fears of US sanctions, but deep discounts and the need to supply the domestic market are forcing Indian refiners to look for ways to continue trading.
