Macron: "Coalition of the Willing" will finalize security contributions for Ukraine in early January
A key meeting of the "Coalition of the Willing" states will be held in the French capital in early January, where the specific contribution of each country to the system of security guarantees for Ukraine will be finally determined. French President Emmanuel Macron announced this following a series of talks with the leaders of Ukraine and the United States on X.
The decision to hold the summit was preceded by a trilateral online conversation on December 28 with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Donald Trump, and European top officials. Separately, Macron held a private conversation with the Ukrainian president, after which he noted "positive dynamics" in the development of mechanisms to protect Ukraine
"We are making progress on the security guarantees that will be central to building a just and lasting peace. We will bring together the countries of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris in early January to finalize each country’s concrete contributions," the French leader emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Trump believes in putin's readiness to end the war and announces final negotiations.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is ready to withdraw troops, but this will be done only if the aggressor country russia takes mirror actions.
