ARMA sells arrested vessel USKO MFU through Prozorro.Sales
The National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (Asset Recovery and Management Agency, ARMA) sold the vessel USKO MFU, transferred to ARMA management based on the decision of the Dniprovskyi District Court of Kyiv, through the Prozorro.Sales system.
This was announced by the ARMA press service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The agency noted that the auction was held according to the Dutch model.
The message states, in particular, that this was the third attempt to sell the asset.
The auction organizer is the platform "Polonex" accredited in the Prozorro.Sales system, which the Agency selected through a competition.
The winner of the open auction was LLC "Universal LTD", which purchased the vessel at a starting price of UAH 2.48 million.
In addition to the cost of the lot, the new owner of the vessel must pay customs duties in the amount of UAH 4.42 million. The total amount of revenues to the state budget is UAH 6.9 million.
The funds have already been credited to the accounts of ARMA.
The dry cargo ship USKO MFU, which flying the flag of of Cameroon, belongs to the Turkish company "MED VOYAGER SHIPPING INC", was confiscated in October 2024.
The detention took place in July 2024 in the Odesa Region, when the Coast Guard units detected violations of shipping in the waters under temporary occupation.
The captain of the ship was accused of violating the procedure for entering the occupied territories with the aim of harming state interests.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in mid-October, ARMA bought war bonds worth over UAH 2.5 billion.
The ARMA is a central executive body with a special status, authorized to formulate and implement state policy in the field of identification and tracing of assets that may be seized in criminal proceedings, as well as the management of assets seized in criminal proceedings.
