President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed to prepare options for responding to the deployment of russian Oreshnik missile systems in Belarus together with partners. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Zelenskyy spoke about the report of the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleh Ivashchenko, on several fundamental areas, in particular, the deployment of Oreshnik complexes in Belarus.

"The intelligence service has gained more details on this, and it is important that our partners know this and take it into account in their defensive steps. We believe that the aggressive proliferation of such weapons poses a global threat and sets a dangerous precedent. I have instructed to prepare response options together with our partners," he said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 18, self-proclaimed president of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko said that the russian Oreshnik medium-range missile system is on combat duty in Belarus.

On the morning of November 21, 2024, the russian occupiers launched a missile attack on the city of Dnipro, using a ballistic missile with several dozen warheads. On the evening of the same day, russian dictator putin said that a Oreshnik ballistic missile with non-nuclear hypersonic equipment was used to strike Dnipro.
