Ministry of Defense: Work on fortifications continues in all frontline regions

During a visit to the Zaporizhzhia Region, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal listened to a report by the head of the State Special Transport Service, Major General Oleksandr Yakovets on the construction of fortifications in the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Kyiv Regions.

The Minister said this on Telegram.

According to him, the State Special Transport Service has already built 2130 platoon strongholds, more than 3,000 km of anti-tank ditch, more than 1,000 km of barrier pyramids, 16,000 km of the Yehoza barrier and 4,300 km of low-visibility obstacles.

"I thank the State Special Transport Service for their well-coordinated work. It is necessary to further increase the pace of construction of fortifications and improve construction technologies, as this is an important frontier of Ukraine's defense capability," Denys Shmyhal said.
