SSU hits liquefied gas terminal in russian port Temryuk - sources
The Special Security Service's (SSU) Alpha Special Operations Center is behind the successful disabling of the liquefied gas transshipment terminal in the port Temryuk in the Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation. On December 5, the Service's drones hit the production facilities of the Maktren-Nafta Limited Liability Company, which burned for three days.
This was told to Ukrainian News Agency by sources in the SSU.
As a result of the attacks, a large-scale fire broke out in the tank farm: more than 20 tanks with a capacity of 200 m³ each out of 30 available were burning. In addition, SSU drones destroyed railway tanks, an intermediate refueling tank, and a loading and unloading overpass. The total area of the fire was about 3,000 m².
Maktren-Nafta tranships liquefied gas from railcars and tank containers to specialized gas carriers. The terminal was built in 2008 and is designed to tranship 400,000 tons of liquefied gas per year.
"The SSU will continue to systematically work to cut revenues from the oil and gas sector to the russian economy. It is this money that finances the war against Ukraine. Hits in the russian rear at facilities that are working for the war will continue to burn," an informed source in the SSU noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, long-range strike drones of the Center of Special Operations "A" of the SSU once again hit a target at a distance of 1,400 km - this time in a settlement with the telling name Orsk. Hits burned at the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in the Orenburg Oblast of the russian federation.
