Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy russian aircraft and neutralize over 1200 occupants in a day - General Staff

On December 5, the Ukrainian military eliminated another russian aircraft and more than 1,200 russian army personnel. The number of russian drones has also significantly decreased.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that "over the past day, the enemy lost an aircraft and 1,240 manpower units." Moreover, dozens of artillery systems and hundreds of occupants' drones were destroyed.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, as of December 5, 2025, the total losses of the russian army, according to the General Staff, are as follows

• personnel - about 1,178,610 (+1 240) military personnel;
• tanks - 11,396;
• armored combat vehicles - 23,686 (+1);
• artillery systems - 34,843 (+34);
• MRLS - 1,558 (+2);
• air defense systems - 1,253;
• aircraft - 431 (+1);
• helicopters - 347;
• UAVs of operational and tactical level - 86,900 (+424);
• Cruise missiles - 4,024;
• ships/boats - 28;
• submarines - 1;
• motor vehicles and tank trucks - 68,907 (+94);
• special machinery - 4 014 (+2).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in November, the Defense Forces "canceled" 31,190 occupants. And since the beginning of 2025, the army of russia has lost more than 383,000 soldiers. This equates to the strength of 32 divisions, which is about three divisions per month.
