Kachka or Mudra considered for post of Justice Minister - Honcharenko
The post of Minister of Justice is being considered for the post of Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka or Deputy Head of President's Office Iryna Mudra. This was announced by the Verkhovna Rada member from the European Solidarity faction Oleksii Honcharenko on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"As for the Minister of Justice - who will be? Two candidates are being discussed:
- Taras Kachka - he is currently Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and he may also be given the Ministry of Justice, just as it was under Stefanishyna.
- Iryna Mudra - she is currently Deputy Head of the President's Office," he said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 12, amid a corruption scandal in the energy sector, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko submitted a motion to the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko (he held the position of Energy Minister in Shmyhal's government) and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk.
