US, China agree to establish military cooperation channels - Hegseth
The US and Chinese defense ministries have agreed to establish military cooperation channels to resolve issues and prevent escalation. US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth wrote about this on his X-account on Sunday, November 2.
Hegseth noted that he spoke with US President Donald Trump and they believe that relations between the United States and China "have never been better." According to him, Chinese Minister of National Defense Admiral Dong Jun also believes that the best path for the two countries is peace, stability and good relations.
"Admiral Dong and I also agreed that we should establish military cooperation channels to resolve conflicts and de-escalate any problems that arise. We will have more meetings on this issue soon. May God bless both China and the US," Hegseth wrote.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 30, US President Donald Trump, following a meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, said that they had discussed the russian-Ukrainian war at length and would work together to "try to resolve" it.
As a reminder, before the talks with Donald Trump, Chinese leader Xi Jinping praised him for his steps towards a ceasefire in Gaza and called for joint efforts for the global good.
