"Kill zone" increased to 20 km - Syrskyi
The "kill zone" (a territory that is fully controlled by fire) has increased to 20 kilometers. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleksandr Syrskyi, announced this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The concentration of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles is growing, the "kill zone" has increased to 20 km. Medical evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield in modern warfare is constantly facing new challenges to which we must respond in a timely and effective manner," he said.
One of such solutions, Syrskyi said, is the wider use of evacuation ground robotic systems (ERS) to evacuate the wounded from the position.
He ordered the supply of new ground drones to the troops and comprehensive assistance in the development of advanced evacuation by unmanned robotic systems.
"There should be more of them, they should be more reliable," the Commander-in-Chief said.
Syrskyi also supported the proposal to involve appropriate military helicopters for the targeted medical evacuation of seriously wounded, equipping them with the necessary medical equipment.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in October, Syrskyi said that the "kill zone" has already reached 10 kilometers.
In March, Rustem Umerov, who was then Minister of Defense, announced the start of the Drone Line project, which involves providing infantry with air support and cover and creating a killzone of 10-15 km, where the enemy's advance is impossible without losses.
