Trump calls Orban fantastic and says he would win election

US President Donald Trump called Prime Minister Orban "fantastic" and is confident that his Fidesz party will win the parliamentary elections in 2026. He stated this at the Peace Summit in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh.

He said that Orban will show an even better result in the next elections than in the previous ones.

"Viktor. We love Viktor. Victor, that's what I call him. You're fantastic. Okay, I know a lot of people don't agree with me, but I'm the only one who matters," President Trump said.

The President called Orban a "great leader" and recalled that he supported him during the last elections, which he won.

"He won by 28 points. So this time you will do even better. You have another election and you will achieve great results. We appreciate it and support you 100%," Trump added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban downplayed the incident with the violation of Ukrainian airspace by Hungarian drones and stated that our state "is not independent and sovereign."

As we will recall, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously reported on the incursion of a Hungarian spy drone. The Hungarian Foreign Ministry responded that he was "seeing ghosts."

It was also reported that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban may find support in his attempt to stop Ukraine's accession to the EU in unusual corners for him - in particular, from French President Emmanuel Macron.
