Farmers harvest 33 million tons of grain and leguminous crops

Ukrainian farmers have harvested 33.032 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.

This is indicated in a statement by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that as of October 10, a total of 33,032,300 tons of grain crops have already been harvested in Ukraine on an area of ​​7,673,900 hectares.

67% of the areas sown with these crops have been threshed.

In particular: 22,623,600 tons of wheat were harvested on an area of ​​5,020,300 hectares; barley - 5,314,700 tons on an area of ​​1,345,600 hectares; peas – 627,500 tons on an area of ​​266,000 hectares; corn - 3,452,300 tons on an area of ​​638,200 hectares, which is 15% of the sown area.

Among the leaders of the harvest:

- Odesa Region - 3,717,200 tons from an area of ​​1,122,100 hectares;

- Vinnytsia Region - 2,426,000 tons from an area of ​​437,000 hectares;

- Khmelnytskyi Region - 2,381,500 tons from an area of ​​344,200 hectares;

- Kirovohrad Region - 2,377,100 tons from an area of ​​571,800 hectares.

The harvest of wheat, barley and peas is complete.

As of October 10, a total of 12,425.4 million tons of oilseeds have been harvested, including 6,347,700 tons of sunflower on an area of ​​3,433,300 hectares, 2,767,300 tons of soybeans on an area of ​​1,214,710 hectares, and 3,310,400 tons of rapeseed on an area of ​​1,275,600 hectares.

In total, sunflowers have been harvested from 67% of the sown areas, soybeans - 56%, rapeseed harvesting is complete.

3,440,300 tons of sugar beets have already been harvested on an area of ​​69,100 hectares, which is 35% of the sown areas.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of October 3, a total of 31,548,800 tons of grain crops were harvested in Ukraine on an area of ​​7,213,800 hectares.

In 2025, farmers planned to sow more than 5.7 million hectares of spring grain and leguminous crops, which corresponds to the level of 2024.

The main feature of the new season was the increase in the area under spring wheat to 227,500 hectares.
