Trump says he thought war in Ukraine would be easy to resolve

US President Donald Trump thought that resolving the russian-Ukrainian war would be one of the easiest deals. However, he now believes that it may be harder than achieving peace in the Middle East.

He said this during a joint press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Thus, Trump began by declaring the proximity of the conclusion of an agreement on the war in the Middle East: "We are very close to concluding an agreement on the Middle East, we will bring peace to the Middle East."

He said that in addition to this, "I concluded seven other agreements." The US President also drew attention to the russian-Ukrainian war.

"I thought it would be one of the easiest deals. I get along very well with putin. I'm very disappointed in him because I thought it would be easy to resolve. It turned out that it was perhaps more difficult than in the Middle East," he said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, US President Donald Trump said that he had actually agreed to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles.

Meanwhile, the Institute for the Study of War noted that russia is trying to improve relations with the United States by combining nuclear blackmail and economic incentives, but at the same time is refusing to negotiate with Ukraine and is deliberately prolonging the war.
