Trump says he will fire US generals if he doesn't like them - Reuters
US President Donald Trump has warned that he will meet with the top US military leadership and immediately fire anyone he doesn't like. His words are cited by Reuters on Tuesday, September 30.
"I'm going to be meeting with generals and with admirals and with leaders, and if I don't like somebody, I'm going to fire them right on the spot," Trump said before the meeting.
But already during his speech on stage, the US president praised the condition and skill of the US military.
"I am with you. I support you, and as president, I support you 100%," Trump said
The auditorium was packed with high-ranking uniformed officials sitting in front of a stage with a large American flag, a podium and boards reading: "Strength. Service. America."
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, US President Donald Trump, during his first term, considered the possibility of expelling at least four of its members from NATO for low defense spending.
On September 29, Ukrainian MPs proposed that the Verkhovna Rada address the Nobel Committee with an initiative to nominate US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
