Russia attacks Ukraine with 3 Iskanders. Air defense fails to shoot them down
On the night of Tuesday, September 23, russian troops launched 3 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 115 drones into the territory of Ukraine, and air defense forces managed to neutralize 103 UAVs.
The press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of September 23 (from 9 p.m. on September 22), the enemy attacked Ukraine with three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 115 Shahed, Gerbera type strike UAVs and drones of other types from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all – russia) and Hvardiiske (Crimea), about 60 of them - Shaheds.
"According to preliminary data, as of 9 a.m., air defenses shot down/suppressed 103 enemy Shahed, Gerbera type UAVs and drones of other types in the north, south and east of the country," the message says.
Missile hits and 12 strike UAVs were recorded at 6 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (fragments) at 8 locations.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of September 22, the russians launched 141 drones over Ukraine, and air defense forces neutralized 132 of them.
Meanwhile, on the night of Tuesday, September 23, the military of the aggressor country, the russian federation, struck civilian infrastructure in the Odesa Region. As a result of this attack, one person was killed and there are wounded.
