US approves sale of Patriot equipment and Starlink services to Ukraine for nearly USD 330 million – Pentagon
The US State Department has approved the sale of nearly USD 179.1 million in Patriot air defense system spare parts and other support to Ukraine.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency of the US Department of Defense has reported this.
It was noted that Ukraine has requested to purchase equipment and services to support the operation of its Patriot air defense systems.
The package provides for the provision of the following non-MDE services and equipment: classified and unclassified spare parts; maintenance support; classified and unclassified software and software updates; system modifications and associated modification kits; test equipment; communication equipment and associated accessories; integration services; repair and return; storage; tooling; Field Surveillance Program; International Engineering Services Program; maintenance support equipment; U.S. Government and contractor representative technical assistance; training; engineering and logistics support services; classified and unclassified publications and technical documentation; classified software; and other related elements of logistics and program support.
The prime contractors will be RTX and Lockheed Martin. Separately, the State Department approved the sale of Starlink satellite communications services and related equipment for a total of USD 150 million.
