Water crisis intensifying. Another 6 settlements in Donetsk Region transferred to reduced water supply schedule - CCD

The water crisis in the occupied Donetsk Region is intensifying. Another six large settlements have been transferred to a reduced water supply schedule. This is stated in the message of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).

According to the CCD, water is not supplied at all to Yenakiyevo, Debaltseve, Bunhe (Yunokomunarivsk), and only half of the already modest volumes of water are supplied to Khrestivka (Kirovske), Zhdanivka and Shakhtarske. The reason for this step is called by the occupiers "an accident on the main water supply".

"This demonstrates that despite all the demonstrative "activity" of the occupation administration, the situation is worsening. All their loud statements about the "struggle for water" turned out to be propaganda. The gauleiter constantly called the capture of Slovyansk the key "solution" to the water issue," the CCD emphasized.

The Center emphasized that the occupation "successfully" ignored the issue of restoring infrastructure, repairing and building new water pipelines for years, while the russian army mercilessly destroyed the water supply system of Donbas with bombing.

"In the 21st century, the cities of the occupied part of Donbas live in conditions of a humanitarian catastrophe. The responsibility for this lies solely with the russian federation, which brought war and devastation to Ukrainian lands," the Center summarized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a catastrophic situation with water supply has developed in the occupied part of the Donetsk Region. Water from taps flows once every three days, and Donetsk residents are forced to go to the toilet in a "bag" because there is simply nothing to flush.
