Russia struck Turkish enterprise and Azerbaijani embassy – Zelenskyy in conversation with Erdogan
The russians struck a Turkish enterprise and the Azerbaijani embassy. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on the Telegram channel, talking about his telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"This night, the Russians struck Ukraine again and used more than 30 missiles, about 600 drones. As a result of this shelling, 17 people were killed, including four children. Dozens of people are in serious condition, and doctors are now fighting for their lives. There were strikes on a Turkish enterprise, the Embassy of Azerbaijan, the European Union Delegation, the British Council, and residential areas. This is Putin's response to all attempts by Ukraine, the United States, and our European partners to stop the killings. That is why pressure is needed - sanctions, tariffs, political pressure. We are counting on strong steps," he noted.
Zelenskyy thanked Erdogan for his support for Ukraine and for his constant readiness and desire to help achieve real peace.
They exchanged views on the current situation and discussed the next diplomatic steps and security guarantees, Erdogan said that he was involving his defense minister in the process to understand how Turkey could help guarantee security, including in the Black Sea.
The Turkish newspaper Türkiye Gazetesi reported that the Bayraktar plant in Kyiv, which was preparing for launch, was subjected to missile fire, two hits were recorded, which caused serious damage to multi-million dollar investments.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of August 28, russian invaders launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine, and in particular on Kyiv.
Earlier it became known that the russian attack damaged the building of the EU mission in Kyiv, as well as the building of the British Council.
