AFU liberate three villages in Donetsk Region: Syrskyi gives details

The Ukrainian military successfully carried out counterattacks in Donbas and liberated three settlements from the russian occupiers at once. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"I work in areas of combat operations. The Pokrovsk Axis is where it is most difficult. Where the defense of Ukrainian Independence and the Ukrainian Flag is not just high words, but a daily risk and a daily feat," he noted.

According to Syrskyi, Ukrainian forces have regained control over Mykhailivka, Zelenyi Hai, and Volodymyrivka. "Our troops successfully counterattacked and cleared the villages in the Donetsk Region - Mykhailivka, Zelenyi Hai, and Volodymyrivka - from the enemy. Once again, I express my deep gratitude to my combat brothers and sisters for their service in these great, decisive days," he said.

During the working trip, the Commander-in-Chief awarded the best fighters for their resilience and courage, and also noted their contribution to the fulfillment of tasks.

He added that he visited command posts in the Pokrovsk Axis, where he discussed the current situation with the commanders of corps and brigades. "The situation is really difficult, the enemy has focused its main efforts on this section of the front. But we must hold the line. Assistance in organizing combat operations will be provided. Issues regarding additional ammunition, drones, and electronic warfare equipment have been resolved," Syrskyi stressed.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, servicemen of the aggressor country, the russian federation, are burning their equipment in the temporarily occupied Kherson Region. They are doing this to disrupt the advance into positions.
