North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary General Mark Rutte arrived in Ukraine, he and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the next steps to end the war. Zelenskyy announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is in Ukraine today, and during our meeting we talked primarily about what our next joint steps can give Ukraine and all of Europe more security and bring the real end of the war closer. The most important thing is our diplomacy, security guarantees and weapons for our soldiers," he said.
Zelenskyy noted that the PURL program is already operating, which allows the purchase of American weapons with the funds of partners, and there is already USD 1.5 billion from European countries, Ukraine is working to have more.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, it was previously reported that Sweden, together with Norway and Denmark, are allocating USD 486 million to the PURL initiative, the Netherlands announced a contribution of EUR 500 million to PURL, the funds will go to the purchase, in particular, of missiles for Patriot systems, and Germany has allocated USD 500 million.
