Trump and putin met in Anchorage
US President Donald Trump and russian dictator vladimir putin met at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Anchorage, where negotiations took place yesterday.
This is evidenced by the broadcasts that world media outlets are conducting from the meeting site, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Trump and putin arrived at the Elmendorf-Richardson base by plane. The American leader's plane landed a little earlier. It should be noted that the russian dictator ended up on a different plane than initially thought. Russian media say that this was done for the safety of the kremlin leader.
For about half an hour, Trump and putin did not get out of their planes, between which American servicemen laid out red carpets.
At approximately 10:10 p.m., the US president and the russian dictator began to get out of the planes to meet each other. Putin, in his traditional manner, made Trump wait.
The leaders met and shook hands. After that, they headed towards the journalists on a specially installed rostrum. There they shook hands again for photographers, after which they headed towards Trump's limousine.
It should be noted that at this moment five US Air Force aircraft flew in the sky, including a B-2 strategic bomber.
Trump and putin got into the American leader's limousine and drove to the place of the negotiations.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on Friday the Office of the President of Ukraine listed the points by which Kyiv will evaluate the outcome of the negotiations between Trump and putin.
We remind you that also yesterday the White House press service published the schedule for the Trump-putin summit in Anchorage.
