Georgian Dream uses footage of destroyed Ukrainian cities in its election campaign for the second time
The main Georgian party Georgian Dream used images of the consequences of russian aggression against Ukraine in its election video for local elections.
Its election video was published on social networks.
The video shows black-and-white footage of front-line Ukrainian cities destroyed by shelling: ruins of residential buildings, a cemetery of killed soldiers, a bombed bridge, a drone strike on a residential building, and a Ukrainian couple near the rubble of a Kyiv high-rise building where their son was killed.
These images contrast with colorful scenes of peaceful life in Georgia - surviving infrastructure and calm streets. The inscriptions appear on the screen: "No to war!" - from the side of the footage from Ukraine and "Choose peace!" - next to the footage from Georgia.
The slogan under the video is: "Peace for Georgia - more good for Tbilisi." Local elections in the country are scheduled for October 4, and Georgian Dream has already stated that it expects to win in all 64 municipalities.
Recall that last year, parliamentary elections were held in Georgia. According to the results of the vote count, the ruling party - Georgian Dream won.
