Luhansk Regional Military Administration ex-head Haidai released from custody after posting UAH 10 million bail

A UAH 10 million bail was posted for the former head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, after which he was released from custody.

The Ukrainian News agency was informed about this in the High Anti-Corruption Court.

The High Anti-Corruption Court received UAH 10 million bail for the former head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.

Also, UAH 2 million was posted for other defendants in the case each: the director of the Acopters company Yevhenii Sydelnyk and the commander of one of the military units of the National Guard Vasyl Myshanskyi.

They are obliged to: arrive at every call and request; report a change of their place of residence and/or place of work; not leave the borders of certain settlements without permission (Haidai is prohibited from leaving Uzhhorod); refrain from communicating with a number of persons regarding the circumstances set forth in the report of suspicion; not to visit certain premises; hand in foreign passports and wear an electronic bracelet.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 2, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) informed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the discovery of bribery. The current Member of Parliament, heads of district and city administrations, as well as servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine are involved in them. Already on August 3, the head of state signed decrees on the dismissal of the heads of administrations - the head of the Rubizhne City Military Administration Andrii Yurchenko and the Mukachevo District Military Administration Serhii Haidai.
