Zelenskyy's advisor denies Onet's information about Trump's peace terms for russia
Advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Dmytro Lytvyn, said that at a meeting with russian dictator vladimir putin, US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, did not talk about the terms of a truce with Ukraine, as the Onet portal wrote.
Lytvyn published a corresponding refutation on his X-account on Thursday, August 7.
The presidential advisor commented on the information about the publication of a Polish publication that Trump's Special Envoy had allegedly offered putin the terms of a truce during a personal meeting.
"It is doubtful that Witkoff or Ushakov had time to talk to this portal ) Yesterday, during the leaders' conversation, nothing like that was heard, and Witkoff did not say anything like that, he said other things," Lytvyn wrote.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 5, Reuters informed that the kremlin was considering a concession to US President Donald Trump to halt airstrikes in Ukraine without halting hostilities.
On August 7, US President Donald Trump said that he may meet with russian dictator vladimir putin in person in the near future.
On August 7, putin named the United Arab Emirates as a likely location for a meeting with Trump.
