President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the command post of the 2nd Air Assault Battalion of the 80th Separate Galician Air Assault Brigade, where he awarded the soldiers with state awards. This is stated in a message on the official account of the head of state on Wednesday, August 6.

Zelenskyy noted that he spoke with the commanders about the operational situation, providing the brigades with resources for their own drone production, as well as the experience of using unmanned systems and combating russian drone operators.

"At the command post of the 2nd Air Assault Battalion of the 80th Separate Galician Air Assault Brigade, I awarded our soldiers with state awards. Thank you for your service, for protecting Ukraine and our people. Thank you for the Kursk operation and for very courageous steps," the President emphasized.

According to him, the Headquarters was instructed to prepare an algorithm of actions for direct purchases of pickup trucks, as is the case with drones.
